MOON SIGHTED

On Friday February 28, 2025 (Sha'ban 29, 1446), we have received reliable reports from Lawrenceville Jersey of the moon being sighted. 

We have verified and accepted these reports.

​

Therefore, the Ulama Council of Michigan has declared the 1st of Ramadan 1446 to be on Saturday March 1, 2025. The 1st Taraweeh will be on Friday Night, February 28, 2025.

The 1st fast will be on Saturday March 1, 2025. 

​

On behalf of the Ulama Council of Michigan, we wish everyone Ramadan Mubarak. 

Kindly remember the whole Ummah in your Duas.

Quran:

"O you who believe, fasting has been prescribed for you as it has been prescribed for people before you so that you may attain Taqwa." [Surah al-Baqarah, 2:183]


Hadith:

The Prophet said, “Whoever established prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven; and whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven.” (Sahih al Bukhari)
